I had to revise the look of this site since it was too dark on some screen, in addition I have just rewritten the html code generator in perl with a minimum database support that now allows me a dynamic management of the contents and a better control on the flow: gobbledygook! OK, we are here to talk about pipes...
On focus...
In 2011 I started to work in close collaboration with Massimo Musicò to the "foundation project", the high grade series of pipes which are exclusively sold at "becker & musicò" store in Rome.
Choosing the right pipe is always a personal matter that reflect the smoker's character. I think that a pipe should be as light as possible and essential in its nature. I love dark light-sandblasted pipes in their classical british style, however I tend to realize all the reasonable -and smokeable- shapes in various finishes. Each pipe is entirely made by hand from the bare briar block which I personally select at the manno's sawmill in tuscany. Mouthpieces are also made by hand, starting from the ebonite or cumberland raw rod coming from germany.
Through the image gallery you may see the evolution of my work over time, the result of a constant research in the harmonization of the details which is mainly focused on the linear sobriety of the shapes
